The safari-themed Holiday Inn Chessington is ideally located right in the heart of the Park, so you’re always just a stone’s throw from all the fun.

What’s more, the hotel is bursting with lively and relaxing facilities including a spectacular heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and spa. Enjoy a tasty family meal at the exotic Zafari Bar & Grill, boasting an array of dishes and overlooking the stunning zebras and antelopes of the Zoo’s Wanyama Reserve.

Kids can pull up a beanbag at the Chessington Movie Club while parents relax over a refreshing drink in the bar.

There are other great benefits too, with free parking, the Nintendo Wii room, and Early Ride Time offering access to rides a full 30 minutes before the Park opens on selected dates (rides subject to availability) — check out our calendar for full Early Rider details. Exciting safari-themed rooms are available, and every room boasts an en-suite bathroom and TV with pay per view movies for an enjoyable end to an adventurous day.

For a really Wild Adventure, choose one of our nine specially created African Adventure family bedrooms. Children can explore their canvas tented sleeping area with their very own bamboo housed TV and treasure box. The walls are adorned with wild animals and exciting activities. The whole family can help complete the savannah quiz and find the missing animals around the room to then unlock the treasure box and claim the prize. Animal prints, ethnic decorations, thatching and a four poster canopy double bed in the main section of the bedroom complete the African experience for the whole family.

ESSENTIAL SWIMMING POOL INFORMATION

Anyone under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult in the pool.
Please note that children are only permitted in the swimming pool between the hours of 0800 and 2000.

Children under the age of 4 must use armbands and be supervised by an adult in the pool at all times (max 2 children to 1 adult).

Children over 4 with comfirmed swimming abilities confirmed by adult do not need armbands whilst in the pool as long as they are surpervised by an adult(max 2 children to 1 adult).

Family rooms will either be a double bed with 2 single beds, a double bed with 2 roll away beds or a double room with a double sofa bed.
Family rooms with separate children's area are not guaranteed and cannot be requested.

To take advantage of the early rider benefit guests need to meet at the Zafari Bar at 9am to be taken through to the park in a group. Available on Saturday and Sundays and throughout the school holidays.

Animal Meet & Greets are available on Saturdays throughout March, Saturday & Sundays throughout April, May and June, Friday to Sunday throughout July, and Saturdays throughout September & October. Animal Meet & Greets are also available all week during school holidays, and bank holiday weekends.

Residents of the hotel can park in the hotel car park free of charge, please proceed past the park entrance and head towards the hotel entrance. If you park in the Chessington World of Adventures car park you will be charged.

Please note: Character Breakfasts are available on Saturday & Sundays throughout April, May and June, Friday to Sunday throughout July, Sundays throughout September and october, and all week during school holidays and Bank Holiday weekends.

School Holiday dates may vary across the country and only certain activities are available at the Chessington Resort during these School Holiday dates: 20th July to 2nd September and 26th October and 4th November.

Please be advised that check in at the hotel will only be allowed when a valid credit or debit card is presented. Please note that during check in, the hotel will process a card pre-authorisation of £50 per night to cover any bar/restaurant/in-room charging privileges. These funds may be held for up to 5 working days. You will need to present your key folder and sign when charging anything to your room.

Between 1st April and 30th September guests are able to walk around the Wanyama Village up until dusk.

The Rangers Club

Enjoy a family meal in the brand new restaurant at the Chessington Resort.

Take a seat and choose from a wide range of African themed dishes, from grilled meats cooked before your eyes to fresh salads and much more. Enjoy the views of the Wanyama Reserve from your table and spot the zebra, antelopes and other animals roaming the grounds. Zafari Bar & Grill opens for lunch everyday 12.30-3pm and opens for dinner at 5.30pm on Saturdays and school holidays and 6.30pm other times.

Prices vary, or why not try the budget "2 courses for £10" deal, available every day between 12:30 and 3pm.
